The 2011 T-3 Men's Retreat: The  9th annual T-3 Men’s Retreat features time for relaxation, recreation and renewal in God’s beautiful creation. The retreat begins on Friday evening at 6:00 pm when dinner is served.  Registration begins at 4 pm.  The theme of this year’s retreat is “Respectable Sins” and presentations on Friday evening, Saturday evening, and our Sunday morning worship service will focus on this theme.  The retreat features a number of activities on Saturday designed to allow men time to enjoy time together.  Our activities include a scramble golf tournament at Hannibal’s Norwood Golf Club, a fishing tournament at Mark Twain Lake and other neighboring lakes, a trap and skeet shooting tournament at a local gun club (hence our name T-3 for Trap-Tackle-Tees).  This year we will include a card tournament (Euchre), biking, hiking, or exploring historic Hannibal.  There is something for everyone.

Our theme for 2011 is  “Respectable Sins.”  It often seems that we as Christians have become so preoccupied with the major or most visible sins of the society that we have lost sight of the need to deal with the more subtle sins that infect our lives.  These sins have become acceptable in some ways.  At this retreat, we will examine how some “respectable sins” erode our lives.  The message of hope for us is found in the profound mercy expressed in God’s Gospel message and we can be transformed through the grace of God.  You are invited to join with other men as we explore the traps of “respectable sins” and hear again the Good News of God’s love for you.

The Date for the weekend is September 23 - 25, 2011

The Basic Cost for the weekend is only $42.00 or $ 45.00 for late registrations and that includes meals from Friday night's dinner through Sunday morning's breakfast.  The food alone is more than worth the price of admission.  Just ask anyone that has attended a retreat. Also included are two nights in a cabin or camping on the grounds of Mark Twain State Park and a commemorative T-Shirt.  There are additional costs for Golfing ( $35.00 ), Skeet and Trap shooting ( cost depends on how much you shoot, use of the range is free), and Tours.

In addition, some choose to stay in local motels for additional comfort.  For example, the Dry Dock Motel is about five miles from the camp and has twelve motel rooms and seven extra bedrooms.  The cost for two nights is $80 and as many as four could stay in a room.  Dry Dock Motel’s phone number is 1 573 560-0084.  You must make your own reservations if want to use this facility.
